Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is seeking an Ordinance Equipment Mechanic to join our client’s team in Indianapolis, IN.

Duties include assembly, disassembly, re-assembly, fabrication, screen, repair, adjustment, test and/or verification of complex electronic, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural systems in accordance with common military, commercial, and aerospace specifications.

Electrical duties may include, but are not limited to, removal and installation of components, connectors, and wiring into cabinets, chassis, and console type assemblies.

Mechanical duties include, but are not limited to, removal, installation, and adjustment of mechanical parts to precise tolerances.

Structural duties may include, but are not limited to, light machining, sheet-metal work, drilling, riveting, and airframe repairs. Must be able to perform duties using pneumatic tools, electric tools, hand tools, and precision measuring equipment.

  • May perform informal, in-process checks on manufactured or processed items to assist authorized formal inspection and/or test personnel in determining product validation or assist other related job classifications when directed.
  • Requires bending, reaching and lifting of objects within company guidelines.
  • Must be able to read, interpret and analyze engineering drawings, production planning and other technical documents
  • Possess extensive knowledge of the varied and complex electronic, electromechanical and/or optical equipment/system(s) involved.

Required education: High School Diploma or GED
