Job Description

VOLT Workforce Solutions has an immediate opening for Overnight Press Operators for a premiere Fargo company. These are 4-10 hour shifts and 3 days off with voluntary overtime available on weekends.

Hours are generally 6:30 pm to 5 am; overtime shift during peak seasons) is 5 pm to 5 am and overtime shifts are on weekends any hours that are volunteered for between 5:30 am and 5:30 pm. 

Overtime is paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate which is between $14 and 16.00 per hour dependent upon experience. And WE PAY EVERY WEEK!

Duties are as follows:

  • Set up and operate fabricating machines, such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, and/or drill presses
  • Locate and mark bending and cutting lines onto work pieces
  • Load, install and correctly set up the tools required
  • Verifies conformance of work pieces to specifications, using square, ruler and measuring tape
  • Perform assigned work to time standards and quality expectations
  • Safely operate forklifts and other equipment to handle materials and completed work
  • Make routine decisions and use problem solving to resolve basic manufacturing issues or seek assistance
  • Assist other operators on other machines as needed
  • Report and document basic material, production and quality control issues
  • Maintain performance log books on assigned area equipment and report any deficiencies
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with all safety procedures, rules and regulations
  • All other duties assigned

Preferred qualifications are as follows: 

  • Minimum 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Basic fabrication background a plus
  • Competent at basic dimensional measuring and math; as well as the ability to quickly learn the use of precision measurement tools
  • Basic ability to read and understand blueprints and other shop drawing aids a plus
  • Ability to work with various types of forming constraints with guidance
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
