VOLT is now hiring a 2nd shift Packaging Operator for a client in Mooresville, IN on the Southwest side of Indianapolis!

Role and Responsibilities

Our client seeks Packaging Operators for packaging of a variety of manufactured acrylic/polyester resins. The Packer position is a support role for several areas of manufacturing, including but not limited to; quality and assembly. This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required by the employee.

These individuals will clean and operate factory equipment. Packers will be required to adheres to all factory safety guidelines and standards. We are looking for packers who can perform under direct supervision to take our products to the next level in terms of quality, environmental, health and safety.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform packaging duties such as manual lifting, packaging, taping, labeling operations and sorting.
  • Loading packaging machine with supplies, such as bags, shrink wrap spools and ties.
  • Operate control panel to robotic equipment.
  • Move product and inventory using a forklift and bin system.
  • Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor or team lead.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
  • Perform related duties as required by supervision.
  • Ensures that all production deadlines are met.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Understands and follow basic verbal and written instructions.
  • Effectively communicate information and respond to questions from various levels within the company.
  • Maintain the production pace of the other team members.
  • Works efficiently and manages time effectively.
  • Possesses physical strength and stamina required to stand, walk, and lift for long periods of time.
  • Dependable/reliable (attendance) to adhere to schedules
  • Responsible/accountable across all factors of the position
  • Possess sufficient transportation to and from work
  • Strong team-player
  • Eager to learn and driven to perform
  • Proven Warehouse/Manufacturing/Industrial work environment experience
  • Individuals seeking temp-to-hire or at least long-term opportunities (6-months plus)
  • Individuals with a sense of independence who can accomplish tasks and duties with little or no supervision (after-training)
  • Initiative, which operators searches out new tasks and duties to manage time
  • Adheres to OSHA, ISO as well as all Federal, State and local laws and regulations

 Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Proven Warehouse/Manufacturing/Industrial work environment experience preferred.
  • Machine operation experience


  • Working hours will be spent in factory and warehouse.
  • Will be required to stand for long periods of time.
  • Moderate to heavy physical activity such as walking and lifting up to 75 pounds.
  • May also engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containers.
