Job Description

Volt is currently seeking a highly qualified Paralegals to join one of our clients in Chicago, IL. Our client offers exciting job opportunities as one of the world's largest aerospace companies and by being a leading manufacturer of commercial jetliners and defense, space and security system

  • Support the management and maintenance of the Client’s legal entities around the globe, including subsidiaries and branch and representative offices, as well as functional and jurisdictional registrations and licenses.
  • From time to time, the position may also assist with mergers and acquisitions.
  • Perform his/her work under the supervision of lawyers within the Client’s Law Department but will have significant discretion and autonomy in performing day-to-day tasks.
  • Closely and effectively collaborate and coordinate with stakeholders inside and outside the Company, including Client’s business and finance leaders around the globe and outside counsel, and he/she must be skilled at managing a large, complex, and global portfolio of projects.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

Typically, 4 or more years’ related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions.
  • Experience with subsidiary management and maintenance, including managing corporate governance and compliance related matters and activities that may occur during the lifespan (i.e. from formation through disposition) of legal entities associated with a multi-national company.
  • Experience managing corporate governance and compliance matters for a global business.
  • A Bachelor’s degree, a paralegal certificate from an accredited program, or commensurate paralegal experience are preferred, and a Juris Doctorate is a plus.
