Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is currently recruiting Patient Care Representative candidates for long term opportunities with our client, an industry leader in the pharmacy industry located in Lake Mary, FL.   • Schedule can range from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm to 11:00 am - 7:00 pm work day.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This is a multitasking customer service role requiring superior and effective organizational skills.
  • Respond to incoming pharmacy calls and effectively resolve all callers concerns from patients, prescribers’ offices, insurance companies, and manufacturers, providing a one call resolution, if appropriate.
  • Create and build trusting, loyal relationships to ensure patient therapy continues and is maintained for optimum outcome.
  • Utilize effective listening to quickly assess caller’s needs.
  • Provide world-class customer service, working within the limits of prescribed routines.
  • Maintain effective and efficient response and superior service quality.
  • Respond to incoming calls from current patients and prescriber offices to process medication refills and schedule delivery.
  • Run test claims to determine patient copay responsibility.
  • Make routine outbound calls to assist current patients and prescriber offices with maintenance of monthly prescription refills.
  • Provide status updates to prescribers’ offices and manufacturer offices, while alerting necessary areas of the pharmacy.
  • Work through trained pharmacy processes and procedures to ensure that callers’ needs are met.
  • Address questions and concerns and escalate issues of complex clinical matters to appropriate clinical team.
  • Communicate financial obligations, copayments and past due balances to patients and process and safeguard credit card transactions.
  • Facilitate communication between internal team, patients and prescribers’ offices to support patients’ therapy compliance. Participate in group work meetings and project meetings.
  • Document call and associated activities, update and verify patient information.
  • Work in accordance with regulatory requirements and organization procedures, standards and regulations.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • At least One (1) year of high touch, high quality call center experience is required to be successful in this role.
  • Candidates must demonstrate outstanding telephone, written and in person communication skills.
  • Superior organization, documentation and data entry skills are necessary for success in this role.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills, interpersonal skills, and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to quickly build rapport and trust with patients, coworkers and others so that you are seen as an advocate for their needs.
  • Present an attitude of willingness to go above and beyond to help resolve the callers’ situation.
  • Microsoft Office software skills, including Excel and Outlook in Windows format with demonstrated adaptability to internal pharmacy systems.
  • Must be willing to submit to drug screens, criminal check.
