Job Description

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Responsible for weekly and bi-weekly payroll oversight for US and Canadian employees using ADP’s Global View platform (SAP); Federal, state and local payroll tax withholding and disbursements; garnishment processing; and, provides other payroll related reporting and processing.

DIMENSIONS:

Oversees periodic payrolls and subsequent processes for approximately 2000 US associates and 100 Canadian associates.  Responsible for payroll disbursements of approximately $100 million annually. 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Oversee the US and Canadian payroll processing
  • Experience with union and non-union, multi-state payroll processing
  • Oversee 3rd party garnishment administration processes via ADP’s Garnishment Services
  • Interface with the HR Master Data group and ADP Managed Services on on-going process improvement projects.
  • Respond to associate questions utilizing Empyrean’s SalesForce case management system within a 72-hour period
  • Partner with HR Community, HR Shared Services and vendors to improve and sustain payroll accuracy
  • Maintain process documentation and procedures in an accurate and current state.
  • Provide recommendations and implement process improvements and optimization projects

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE JOB:

  • Associates degree, business preferred
  • 3-5 years payroll experience
  • 2+ years ADP Global View (SAP) experience preferred
  • FPC or CPP certification preferred
  • Bi-lingual a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft software
  • This individual will be a consummate payroll professional with broad and experience processing payroll in an SAP environment for multi-site (and preferably multi-national) clients.  Strong communication skills.  Industrious with a strong work ethic.  Adaptable to change at a fast pace.  Strong skills in process design and optimization.  Problem solving and organizational skills. Attention to detail. Positive attitude and strong customer focus.
