  • Process the company's multi-state payroll activities related to new hires, terminations, status changes, tax changes, deductions, direct deposits, time sheet data, rate changes, and retroactive adjustments.  Review, respond and forward tax agency inquiries and/or updates.  Review, respond and set up garnishments as applicable.
  • Review and verify timecard entries in the Time and Attendance System (including obtaining 100% approval of timecards from employees and their managers).
  • Interface with employees to answer questions and provide assistance and guidance on payroll related issues.
  • Evaluate current processes and make recommendations for ways to streamline work processes and build efficiencies that allow for scaling of payroll services.
  • Assist with related special projects.
  • Partnering at with internal customers spanning all departments.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.
  • 4-6 years of experience with payroll processing or accounting functions (GL preferred).
  • Knowledge of Federal and State Regulations.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills (Word and Excel) required; experience with Ceridian/Dayforce is highly desirable.
  • Skills: analytical, auditing, report writing, detail orientation, collaboration, customer service, process improvement, multi-tasking in a high-volume, fast-paced and collaborative environment, and adapting to changing work environments.
  • Experience with 5000 employees payroll a major plus.
  • Canadian payroll experience a plus.
  • Heavy non-exempt experience and special pays experience is a plus. 
  • Ability to craft written communications for all organizational levels.
  • Able to maintain the highest level of integrity and confidentiality.

6 month position, extension is a possibility

Days: M-F

Hours: 9am-5pm
