Job Description

Volt is currently hiring 3 Field Employee Payroll Customer Service Representatives for immediate hire to support . This will be supporting a payroll department and  will entail communicating with both field employees and internal offices. Pay rate is $20/hr. Positions are temp to hire.   • Answers incoming employee calls regarding Pay and Timekeeping issues.  This includes missing and incorrect pay, electronic pay setup, time capture systems training as well as general concerns.
  • Meets performance metrics for inquiries by phone and email within established SLA’s and meeting minimum daily/weekly volumes.
  • Responsible for maintaining a high level of professionalism with callers, remaining courteous with callers always.
  • Update caller information in the customer service database during and after each call.
  • Work with the management team to learn and stay updated on payroll troubleshooting tactics, systems knowledge and stay informed of any changes in company activities that may impact the employee pay cycle.
  • Impact the company’s bottom line by problem solving and turning frustrated employees into satisfied ‘customers’ who are happy to be working with Volt!


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Available to work shifts starting at  6AM, 7AM or 8AM starting times, as assigned
  • Available to work overtime
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Prior experience in processing timekeeping or payroll preferred not required
  • Peoplesoft HR & FS systems knowledge preferred
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Zendesk CRM experience
