Overview: Do you have an eye for detail and gain a sense of satisfaction for executing critical functions? In any organization, Payroll is an important function and must be run by a strong team of professionals.

Process, maintain, and distribute payroll for all employees, in two different pay groups, as assigned.


  • Comprehend the payroll and timekeeping system used to process payroll and create reports.
  • Process time sheets submitted for each employee for payment.
  • Maintain benefit accruals for sick and vacation.
  • Check changes for these employees made in the Payroll System.
  • Set up new and maintain current garnishments that may have been received for employees.
  • Assist employees with questions regarding their payroll.
  • Assist managers and/or supervisors with problems pertaining to payroll.
  • Maintain the timekeeping system for reporting hours.
  • Understand and enforce company policies that affect payroll and the payment of wages.
  • Disperse paychecks to all employee locations.
  • File and maintain files for all reports for easy access.
  • Comprehend basic banking principals and procedures including positive pay, stop payments, and ACH transactions and reversals.
  •  Assist payroll manager and accounting group with various projects that may arise, including audits.
  • Process and maintain proper records and timely filing of wage garnishments and liens.
  • Work closely with the Human Resources department to validate new hires, coordinate the deductions for benefits as elected by each employee, and timely fund 401K and HSA contributions.
  • Process termination checks timely and accurately and deliver to Human Resources for distribution.
  • Review and verify all data entry of employee information including payroll check correction forms received from the Stores or Corporate.


  • Minimum of five years related experience and/or training.
  • Experience with payroll- Ultimate Software “UltiPro”.
  • Ten-key proficient, detail oriented and organized, outstanding customer service skills, proficient typing skills, PC proficient (Basic Microsoft Word and Excel knowledge).


  • For safety reasons, ability to read, write, and communicate in English is required.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to be able to respond to inquiries from customers.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management.
