We are looking for a seasoned Expert Payroll Specialist (Multi-Provincial coverage) for our Client in Mississauga, ON for approximately a 12 month assignment with the possibility of extension, through our Company Volt Workforce Solutions Canada. We are looking for someone who is a  professional experienced with Ceridian Dayforce and experienced in processing semi-monthly payroll for all provinces across Canada, with strong analytical skills to provide excellent service and support for our Client.

Job Description:

  • Pay rate: upto $47.25/hr (T4) + benefits available
  • Length of assignment: 12 months to start with the possibility of extension
  • Shift: Mon-Fri at 7.5 hours per day with flexible shift schedule

Candidates must be Eligible to work in Canada without Employment Sponsorship

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with HR and HR Services team members to process payroll in a multi-province environment, completely, accurately and on-time.
  • Troubleshoot interfaces and payroll results to identify and resolve timekeeping and payroll issues quickly and independently.
  • Process complex and time-sensitive transactions such as terminations, leave of absences and stock awards.
  • Use your expertise in timekeeping & payroll policies, systems, and regulatory environment to provide timely responses to questions/concerns raised by employees and manager
  • Efficiently support and troubleshoot processes and systems related to timekeeping
  • Worker's Compensation reporting and remitting
  • Work closely with our HR, IT and Payroll Accounting teams to efficiently resolve complex issues for Agilent.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years relevant experience.
  • Experience with Multi-Provincial payroll processing (including Quebec) and timekeeping is required. Includes detailed data validation, payroll tax calculation and remittance, and statutory reporting.
  • Advanced knowledge in Excel to perform mass data comparisons and validation.
  • Excellent written, verbal and nonverbal communication skills to adeptly manage tough of employee escalations with aplomb.
  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) preferred while being an active member of the Canadian Payroll Association.
  • Experience responding to escalations from employees and managers.
  • The ideal candidate would be detail-oriented, conduct in-depth troubleshooting/research involving multiple stakeholders, systems, and processes.
  • Key tools/systems used in this position: Ceridian Dayforce (preferred), PeopleSoft/HRMS, WebEx, SharePoint, Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • Excellent Communication skills in English
