Volt is currently recruiting for a detail-oriented individual with a minimum of 3 years Payroll experience for a great Company. The applicant will assist Corporate Payroll Manager in processing payroll and timekeeping for different States including California.

Ideal candidate should have a positive and proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and multitask and be a strong communicator, both paper and over the phone, as he or she will frequently deal with higher levels of management. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Advance level with Microsoft Office  
  • Ability to audit the New Hire process workflow to ensure information is entered correctly and timely.
  • Assist in processing the bi-weekly payroll through ADP and maintain all payroll electronic and paper data files.
  • Assist as needed in Training new supervisors in Timekeeping system, as requested. 
  • Effective communication with all supervisors, managers and associates
  • Works with Accounting department to ensure audit compliance.
  • Separate Irwindale Plant checks and prepare distribution list.
  • Download bi-weekly statistical reports with bi-weekly Federal tax deposits and submit to accounting.
  • Process garnishments and court orders and reconcile bi-weekly reports and assist associates with questions regarding garnishments.
  • Processes verifications for Garnishment and wages and maintain all payroll files. 
  • Annual W2 preparation and year end processing Assist Payroll Manager.     
  • Run and distribute weekly and monthly access hours report to production supervisors and Managers as requested.
  • Resolve exceptions, omissions, payroll issues and enforce payroll policies and procedures.
  • Run query for terms, LOA, new hires.
  • Process termination and prepare manual checks.
  • Run check distribution list.
  • Contact ADP to resolve payroll issues prior to finalization of payroll.
  • Other payroll functions as requested and assigned by the Corporate Payroll Manager.

Minimum requirements:

  • HS Diploma
  • 3 years prior experience with ADP Payroll
  • Must be proficient in MS Office 
  • Experience in ADP (Vantage HCM, Payforce, Enterprise E-Time etc.)  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask effectively and work independently
