Change Manager

The PCMO Change Manager should have a solid understanding of what people experience when they go through change and the change process; experience with the Prosci ADKAR change model is a plus. Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts, experience and knowledge of change management principles and methodologies and familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle are requirements of this position.

The PCMO Change Manager will develop and execute comprehensive change management plans for the CHRS Program including processes, tools and standards, stakeholder, impact and readiness assessments and analysis, communication, coaching, training, sponsor roadmap, resistance management and change reinforcement plans, measurement and analysis of effectiveness and celebrating successes.

He/she will lead and assist in the development of program communication mechanisms supporting this plan (e.g. All Hands Webinars, newsletters, web sites, SharePoint site). In addition, the PCMO Change Manager will facilitate meetings, trainings and workshops including change management awareness and training sessions, team brainstorming sessions, LEAN process improvement exercises and other facilitated group sessions as required.


Responsibilities
Under general supervision of the Associate Director of Change Management, the PCMO Change Manager will perform tasks and duties as follows:

CHANGE MANAGEMENT
-Understand the CSU organization  and change management and communication challenges and issues.
-Apply structured change management approaches, methodologies and tools to support individual and organizational change .
-Develop a change management strategy based on a situational awareness of the details of the change and the groups being impacted by the change.
-Identify potential risks and anticipated points of resistance, and develop specific plans to mitigate or address the concerns.
-Conduct stakeholder, impact, and readiness assessments, evaluate results and present findings in a logical and easy-to-understand manner.
-Develop actionable and targeted change management plans ¿ including communication plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, resistance management plan, change reinforcement plan, measurement and analysis of effectiveness plan and celebrating successes plan.
-Develop communications deliverables and facilitate events (e.g. All Hands Meetings, webinars, newsletters, web sites, SharePoint sites, etc.).
-Develop and implement comprehensive communications strategies and plans including the definition of senders and receivers, messaging, media, frequency and tools for optimal 2 way communication.
-Support managers in their roles of communicator/advocate/coach/resistance manager/liaison as they help their staff through transitions. Conduct manager change management training.
-Be an active and visible coach to executive leaders who are change sponsors, program team members and campus stakeholders.
-Create and manage measurement systems to track adoption, utilization and proficiency of individual changes.
-Identify resistance and performance gaps, and work to develop and implement corrective actions.
-Create and enable reinforcement mechanisms and celebrations of success.
-Work with project teams to integrate change management activities into the overall project/program plan.
-Train and mentor staff and stakeholders in change management and communication best practices .
-Work with the operations groups and other specialists to formulate plans and activities to support project implementation.
-Produce and publish communication content including documentation, status reports and updates, executive summaries, PowerPoint presentations, knowledge articles, key business communications, project/program website content, social media distributions, print releases, and high impact communications.
-Write and edit communications and promotional materials. Must be able to take technical information and translate it into non-technical language.
-Perform other duties as assigned.
