Job Description

Volt is looking for a Pharmacy Clerk to work in a fast-paced production environment where it locally fills, packages and ships prescriptions to several pharmacies. The pharmacy clerk role performs several duties which include but not limited to; packaging of prescriptions, shipping prescriptions, performing process audits, restocking, and cleaning. This role is production based which requires a pharmacy clerk to maintain consistent and continuous work flow to meet team goals and individual hourly production goals.  If you are interested in this opportunity, please Apply


  • Packing prescription with prescription paperwork, and labeling package
  • Folding of prescription paperwork
  • Reading of application screen and pop up windows
  • Sorts prescriptions according to shipping label into assigned totes
  • Uses scanning handheld to sort packaged prescriptions into bin location
  • Performs audits for closed bins: Verifies physical count vs. computer generated tote count
  • Performs chain of custody audit: Records total bins created by location for a production day
  • Basic computer skills for creating shipping labels
  • Duplicating and recording a series of numbers on shipping labels to physical receipt
  • Unloads receiving orders from delivery trucks
  • Audits delivery to delivery receipt
  • Restocks work stations with daily supply needs
  • Basic cleaning responsibility: Taking out trash, wiping down surfaces, sweeping, etc.
  • Escalating/reporting any abnormalities to management
  • Understands and abides by federal and state HIPAA laws as well as pharmacy standard procedures to ensure patient safety and privacy


  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Basic computer skills
  • Warehouse experience a plus
  • Interaction in a team environment where appropriate communication was needed to be successful
  • Follow oral instruction
  • Perform continuous and repetitive work
  • Perform under stress (i.e. time pressures)
  • Make judgments and/or decisions
  • Switch between various tasks without loss of efficiency or composure
  • Interact appropriately with people in a team environment

  • Operate a hand truck/dolly
  • Operate scanning handhelds
  • Able to lift and carry 10-20 pounds
  • Will be standing/walking for the majority of the shift (8+hours per day)
  • Requires bending, twisting, reaching and grasping
