Volt is currently seeking a Powertrain Design Engineer.

Candidate Responsibilities

Degreed engineer required. Prefer to see experience with rotating powertrain and/or engine component design. Summary: Powertrain design engineer working on track type tractor lower powertrain components - primarily brake and steering components/systems. As a platform engineer you will collaborate with component engineers to integrate piece parts into a top level assembly. Collaboration is also required with the machine team to understand top level requirements. Regular discussions will also take place with analysis sections and with drawing detailers, checkers, and releasers. CPPD activity will be required with suppliers. This position serves as a central point in coordinating all areas of discipline to deliver the final validated product on time and within cost.

High percentage is in an office environment, occasionally in the shop.

Technical Skills

Familiar with Pro-E, Creo, and CAT engineering systems Basic analysis skills 3 years or more of work experience
