Job Description

Volt is currently seeking qualified candidates to work with a large Healthcare Company that manufacture gels, creams, lotions, liquids, powders, and hot fill waxes. 

Primary Duties of the Preweigher (Compounder Level 1):

  • Works at the direction of the Lead compounder or Production Manager in support of the weekly Compounding Schedule.
  • Preweights ingredients, cleans and sanitizes equipment, assists compounders.
  • Capable of compounding simple products.
  • Completes production and quality documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Daily activities include preweigh ingredients prior to compounding, clean and sanitize compounding and filling equipment in accordance with approved procedure and complete all required documentation to maintain compliance with cGMPs, company Quality System and ISO 13485 guidelines.
  • As necessary compounding simple product and transfer materials into properly labeled, safety-approved containers or storage tanks.

Qualifications/Requirements of the Preweigher (Compounder Level 1):

  • Use good time management, perform work in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Be supportive of all plant, OSHA, safety regulations while using the prescribed personal protective gear and gloves, mask, gown, etc. as required by the materials handled and plant policy.
  • Perform other duties as required, which includes but is not limited to assisting other departments as needed in various capacities.
  • Work cooperatively with fellow employees, supervisory and management personnel.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds, work with various materials used in the cleaning process.
  • Good personal hygiene is mandatory.
  • Communicate in a courteous manner to all personnel.

Working conditions: Regular working hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. or as assigned. 40 hours per week, must work overtime as necessary.

Salary is based on experience.
