Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is looking for a Press Helper for one of the top 3 graphics communications companies in North America. After reading the job info below, if interested, email an updated resume (in Word format).
Job Title: Press Helper
Location: Omaha, NE
Position Summary:
Provide the press and collator operators with the necessary supplies (chemicals, pallets, perfs, etc.) and maintain stock throughout order run. Complete other tasks as directed by supervision an/or operators when supervision is not present.
Responsibilities:
• Assist all production departments in order to increase productivity
• Assist press operators in activities such as: inking up or washing up print units, installing or removing tooling, putting on or removing printing plates, changing paper, etc.
• Perform final packaging requirements; palletizing, strapping and making up of cartons
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Perform other duties as directed by supervision
 
Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations, read and understand scales and measurements.
• Team oriented
• Sense of ownership and accountability
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Maintain appropriate productivity, spoilage, and service levels
• Flexibility to work overtime.
• Must have forklift experience
 
Physical Qualifications:
• Position requires extensive balancing, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motions.
• Moderate kneeling, crouching, fingering. Occasional feeling, climbing and crawling.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and/or up to 50 pounds of force needed to move an object.
• Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
