Job Description/requirements:

Responsible for monitoring project costs, schedule performance and perform related analyses to support the strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting of project completion for all Generation Production and Substation Support construction projects.  Manages long range project planning horizon to ensure budget, schedule and resources are maximized. 


  1. Develops and implements project controls and monitoring procedures to ensure achievement of project scope, schedule and cost objectives.
  2. Maintains a master schedule of all construction projects.  This consolidated view links to individual project schedules and provides accurate and timely data.
  3. Uses knowledge and experience in project controls to update project plan on a continual basis, working with stakeholders to maintain accurate information.
  4. Coordinate with PM’s, engineers, managers, general foremen and key stakeholders to maintain current project status and forecast project future performance.
  5. Facilitates regular stakeholder meetings illustrating project risks and deviations, highlighting areas of elevating risk, providing accurate project updates and making recommended corrective actions. 
  6. Reviews results compared to schedules in order to identify deviations from expected results and identify possible action plans. 
  7. Leads joint project prioritization efforts between departments.
  8. Develops and disseminates reports highlighting budget, schedule and resource loading

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Construction Management or related discipline and up to five years of demonstrated experience in Project Controls. 
  • Expert user of Primavera P6 or equivalent project management software.
  • Knowledge of project management principles, including standard guidelines.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, facilitation and communication skills required.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize a variety of tasks under strict deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP) or Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) certification preferred.

The P6 experience is key as are interpersonal skills and a measure of resiliency.
