Position: Principal Applications Analyst (Healthcare)
Type: Contingent
Duration: 6-12 Months
Location: Renton WA

OVERVIEW:
Provide professional functional and/or programming support for a large multi facility healthcare organization. Positions at this level apply extensive and advanced principles, theories and concepts and may contribute to the development of solutions to complex problems that require innovation and ingenuity.

COMPETENCIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent blend of education and experience
  • Minimum of 10 years functional experience.
  • Preferred - Master's degree HealthCare IS Experience

KEY POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge and is a proven subject matter expert of assigned application functions.
  • Mentorship of analysts in technical skills, operational approach and effective communication.
  • Review, recommend and support new standards, protocols and process within teams.
  • System involvement of team in design of cross disciplined team efforts
  • Participate in problem management and troubleshooting teams on major enterprise system issues.
  • Designs, implements, evaluate and facilitate systems tests for new applications or enhancements to current applications.
  • Writes expert technical documentation to be used as training and reference materials for System Analysts as well as other IT staff.
  • Demonstrates service excellence and positive interpersonal relationships in dealing with others, including patients/families/members, employees, managers, medical staff, volunteers, and community members, so that productivity and positive relations are maximized.
  • Proactively evaluates and make recommendations around adoption of emerging standards. Mentors others regarding integration protocols and processes.
  • Develops and recommends technical support and software management standards, policies, procedures and strategies.
  • Contributes to project budget and effectively and independently manages IS projects collaborating with business partners, stakeholders, and vendors.
  • Mentors others in the development of test plans and methodologies. Leads focus groups/task forces related to interoperability.
  • Offers customer value added enhancements ideas and presents opportunities to leverage IT opportunities, increase revenue, reduce costs, and enhance overall operational efficiencies. Communicates and coordinates regularly as appropriate, to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of interdepartmental operations and activities.
  • Addresses topics and issues that are both strategic (long term) and operational (immediate) in nature.
  • Perform rotational on-call responsibilities.
