Job Description

I

Volt Workforce Solutions is seeking Systems Engineers for our Client in Richardson, TX. The candidate will have responsibilities that include, but are not limited to: technical management and design review preparation and conduct; requirements analysis and derivation, performance prediction, allocation of system-level requirements to lower level requirements, and requirements management; system architecture and design; support to software developers during the implementation phase to realize system design; support to integration and test personnel on the development of Test Cases and Test Procedures; change request analysis and bidding.

The successful candidate should have the following skills:

  • Current TS/SCI Clearance
  • Experience in the GEOINT/IMINT domain, including integration of COTS products into systems
  • System Engineering experience on a large government software development contract
  • Knowledge of the following systems engineering functions:
    • requirements development and management
    • architecture
    • system design
    • interface definition and control, and integration and test
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle models (waterfall and Agile) and program lifecycle modes;
  • 2-6+ years engineering experience or an engineering support role
  • Must be able to interface with design engineers, customers, and end users
  • Must be willing to work overtime and weekends

The following skills are also desirable:

  • Working knowledge of DCID 6/3 or ICD 503;
  • Experience developing DoDAF / MoDAF architecture artifacts using System Architect/Rhapsody or equivalent;
  • Experience in CONOPS / OPSCON development, especially in workflow related area to this domain;
  • Strong Risk Assessment & Opportunity skills related to the identification, management, and mitigation of technical risk;
  • Strong knowledge of Cost Account Management (CAM).

Required Education (including Major): B.S. degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related scientific discipline.
