Job Description

Machine Operator/Print Feeder Operator

Job Responsibilities:

• Review and understand job tickets to determine size and quantity of sheets required and understand the appropriate ink colors to use
• With the assistance of the  second pressman that the ink supplied matches the ink spec on job ticket
• Adjust feeder to achieve maximum production during the running of the press
• Mounts plates on the press
• Continually checks quality of work to ensure customer specs are met
• Completes necessary production and quality reports
• Adjust feed for optimum production, quality and safety
• Understands the control of the feeder console and auxiliary controls for the operating systems
• Performs maintenance on the equipment
• Performs other duties as assigned by manager, supervisor, lead, operator or second pressman

Job Requirements:

• Previous printing press experience
• Good communication and attention to detail skills
• Stand for at least 12 hours a day
• Work overtime to cover vacation and/or absences
• Bend, twist, kneel throughout shift
• Use hands to grasp, pull and push
