Job Description

Process Development Engineer position for a large personal care company located in Bell CA.

Ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and coordinating activities related to commercialization of new products from bench to full scale-up in manufacturing. Candidate must have a background in personal care/cosmetic/ aesthetic OTC drug industry formulation laboratory/regulated GMP production/laboratory.


  • Support Process Engineering in developing new production processes and
    making modifications to existing manufacturing systems to improve overall efficiency and profitability
  • Work to ensure products are of a high quality and are manufactured in a reproducible manner
  • Assists in developing processes / procedures for production of new products by
    making a large confirmation batch of new products developed by R&D.
  • Coordinates raw material and packaging components for pilot scale-up
  • Provides support to Production when batching issues arise
  • Manages various projects as part of the company’s strategic initiatives
  • Plans and carries out laboratory work to develop and improve processes for
    new and existing production
  • Monitors plant batching on new or revised products
  • Identifies problems in manufacturing and recommends possible solutions in
    conjunction with Process Engineering and R&D.

Minimum Requirements

  • BS in an Engineering discipline
  • 5 years+ of relevant work experience required in personal care/cosmetic/ aesthetic OTC drug industry formulation laboratory/regulated GMP production/laboratory
  • 5 years + of process engineering experience directly related to process scale-up techniques, including dimensionless calculations
  • Ability to work within a fast paced, dynamic team environment
