Industrialization and Manufacturing Group Coordinator - Direct Hire – Dallas, TX

Volt Workforce Solutions is seeking an Industrial and Manufacturing Group Coordinator.  This is a Direct Hire opportunity with a leading designer and manufacturer of innovative nano and microsystems to provide custom MEMS services tailored for healthcare applications such as diagnostic chips, microfluidics, lab-on-chips, and also suitable for chemical sensors, infrared sensors and optical grating devices needed in the industrial field.  Our client is located in Dallas, Tx.

The Industrialization and Manufacturing Group (IMG) Coordinator will lead a team composed of engineers and process technicians to develop, introduce and sustain new products into the manufacturing line. 

Responsibilities:

  • Interface with the Project Engineering Group (PEG) and Customer Program Management (CPM) team to develop new and transfer in existing processes from the customers and moving them through the NPI (New Product Introduction) process to move them from project start into production.  This will include continuous definition and refinement of the NPI process, process flow documentation, specification creation/modification, etc. 
  • In production, the team responds to and addresses issues in production including lot holds for quality or SPC issues, material scrap investigations and corrective actions, yield issues, and yield improvement. 
  • The IMG team is also responsible for managing equipment installations and qualifications. 
  • Responsible for tracking and reporting development program status for each active program, product cycle times, hold lots, wafer fab yield (wafer scrap), and test yield as well as developing and implementing solutions to improve these metrics. 
  • Generating annual budget inputs regarding capex, staffing requirements, and other operational items related to IMG responsibilities. 
  • Mentorship and professional development of team members
  • This position will manage a group of technicians (between 6 to 8) working across 4 shifts (ABCD compressed work weeks) and possibly 1 – 2 engineers.

Requirements:

  • MS Chemistry, Physics, Engineering Physics, Materials Science (BS with 12+ years semiconductor background and experience)
  • 7+ yrs of Semiconductor or MEMS Process Engineering in a volume production environment with 1+ years of engineering or supervisory management experience.
  • Lean Manufacturing and APQP experience required. Six-Sigma Green or Black Belt certification a plus.
  • Demonstrated management, leadership and communication skills are required.
  • Candidate must be flexible and roll with changes, process guidelines and strategies, working hours and schedules.
  • Candidate must be comfortable working in a team environment
  • Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Project)
