Job Title: Process Technician
Location: Suwanee, GA
Position Summary:
The Technician position will work in the business unit or corporate technology group. The Technician will complete compounding and molding testing on specific assigned projects and have a high degree of proficiency with materials processing on equipment such as Master Brabenders, Single Screw, Twin Screw and Injection Molding equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Work with a professional technical staff in projects related to product development, process development or application development depending on the work area of the job.
•    Laboratory work involving new experiments and sample preparation.
•    Master Brabenders, Single-Screw, Twin-Screw, Injection Molding Machines and testing equipment.
•    Accurate measurement, recording and reporting of data.
•    Follow safety and housekeeping procedures.
•    Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:    
Knowledge/Education/Certifications
•    High School Diploma or GED.
Skills
•    Analytical skills required.
•    Must be able to read/comprehend written and oral instructions in English; read and comprehend safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and product recipes/material identifications.
•    Must have mathematical skill to add, subtract, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.
•    Must be able to effectively communicate in English one-on-one and in small group situations.
•    Must have ability to reason and address problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
•    Ability to read and understand MSDS sheets and processing guides for a variety of raw materials.
•    Possess good mechanical skills.
•    Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel programs.
Experience
•    3 years relevant experience required.

•    Occasionally required to sit.
•    The individual must frequently lift and/or move 55 pounds.
•    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus and the ability to differentiate color.

•    Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.  The individual is frequently exposed to vibration.  The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock.
