Job Description

We've partnered with a Plastic Manufacturing company in Somerset, NJ who is looking for a Process Technician to join their team. 

You will be responsible of troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on Molding Machines.

Essential functions include: 

  • Installs and removes injection molds in injection molding machines.
  • Installs and removes auxiliary equipment necessary for the injection mold and or injection molding machine
  • Sets and adjusts injection molding machine to set-up parameters
  • Troubleshoots and corrects injection molding machine operations
  • Diagnoses basic mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems with equipment
  • Completes checklists as required
  • Performs routine preventative maintenance on injection molding machines

Position requirements:

  • High School Diploma / GED Equivalent (Hydraulic & Electrical trade school preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing/production environment including troubleshooting equipment and basic mechanical experience
  • Basic computer skills of Microsoft Office
  • Must be knowledgeable on various mold and machine designs
  • Experience diagnosing hydraulic and basic electrical problems
  • Physically capable of handling large molds utilizing cranes, hoists, lifts, etc.
    • Ability to work well under pressure, demonstrate safe work habits, multitask, have good communication skills, and be able to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs. on occasion or frequently.
  • Experience in Food Manufacturing a huge plus

Food Safety Requirements:

  • Monitor and verify activities to ensure that all maintenance work in the facility meet food safety standards in addition to quality standards.
  • Comply with all company food safety and quality assurance procedures and complete documentation correctly.
  • Ensure all work product contact surfaces are restored to sanitary condition after any job completion.
  • Report incidents, and product or process failures that could impact food safety of manufactured product to your direct reports and submit a safety/food safety incident reports. 

Shift & Pay

Thursday: 1am-7am & Thursday to Saturday: 7pm - 7am | | $18-$23/hr.
