We are looking to hire a Procurement Operational Improvement Analyst for our Client in the Mining and Procurement industry in Montreal, QC. This role is a 12 months assignment for now, with the possibility of extension.

The Opportunity: We are looking for a Procurement Operational Improvement Analyst to join our Global Regional Atlantic Procurement team. Provide project management discipline to pipeline of savings project by preparing status update and score card via a weekly routine to surface issues and accelerate savings delivery; improve transparency, consistency, and efficiency in reporting as well as improve spend analytics to identify savings, organization, process& system improvement opportunities.

What the role entails:

This role is a great opportunity to be immersed in a diverse Atlantic procurement organization across the US, Canada and Europe with a wide variety of challenging issues. This is an opportunity to reduce variation, shorten cycle times & eliminate waste in the procurement process and develop, coordinate & consolidate the multitude of reports to support leadership & regional global teams for effective outcomes and ongoing improvements. Reporting to the Regional HME Manager – Atlantic and Africa, you will be:

  • Extracting, manipulating and interpreting data from Procurement and project management system.
  • Update Wave and  Clarity on regular basis or as directed;
  • Updating Outline agreement for HME / LME / fixed equipment categories
  • Communicate project status change/value to BU;
  • Reconcile Ariba with BU value tracking system
  • Using data to analyze and present business recommendations and supporting analysis and spend tracking to support the category teams.
  • Providing expertise to drive effectiveness& efficiency to develop tools to measure supplier and system performance. Enhancing reporting systems, cadence and reports, both written and presented.
  • Support Category Specialist on managing OA: price change, material number change, RFQ requests, etc.
  • Prepare various reports and communications, including but not limited to weekly team meeting reports, monthly MME reports and suppliers SRM meetings
  • Collect and compile requested information and quality data (e.g.: spend data, market research, supplier information, contract requirements, category strategy) to support Category Specialist
  • Liaising with and extract information from a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Developing, coordinate& consolidate info from contacts to provide actionable reports & establish reporting protocols & systems; work with team to address process improvements (internal & external).
  • Playing a key part in the reporting and process improvements aspects of Regional Global Atlantic Procurement, this role will advise and recommend but will have limited decision-making responsibility

Requirements:  

To succeed in this role, you must already have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain or Logistics or similar
  • Experience in report preparation based on ability to analyse complex data, provide meaningful interpretation& compelling argument to change
  • Experience working effectively with teams outside formal lines of authority to deliver results
  • Strong communication and influencing skills and influencing skills
  • Proficient data modelling, analytical and quantitative skills, including advanced Excel and dashboard

  • 3-5 years’ experience in Business Analysis
  • Procurement background experience
  • Product Costing experience is a MUST
  • Cost Structures experience
  • Excel Sheet creation and management of pricings and products
  • Experience with Outline Agreements is a MUST
  • Good analytical skills and ability/experience with matching numbers
  • Bilingual in French and English 100% preferred (written/spoken)
