Job Description

Our client has a need for a Procurement Specialist for their headquarters in Meridian, Idaho. This is a temporary position and is offered through Volt Workforce Solutions.

Job Summary:

Responsible for procurement activities related to routine, standardized, small dollar, low risk projects, to include work planning, execution of negotiations and supplier contracting. Perform administrative tasks as requested to support procurement professionals. Serve as a contact for internal stakeholders for status of contracts, procurement activities, and purchase orders.

  • Perform various administrative tasks throughout the day and manage competing priorities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to internal stakeholders in requesting and completing vendor contracts and related documents
  • Respond to inquiries and provide information as appropriate to internal stakeholders in procurement, legal and the business areas
  • Provide administrative support to procurement team members as necessary
  • Identify and suggest improvements to maintaining the contract review process and policies to support the business.
  • As requested, revise contract and agreement templates to tailor to the strategic needs of the company
  • In support of procurement professionals, provide support to various business functions on general contract questions
  • Ensure completion of all documentation of completed vendor contracts to support internal needs and controls
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the operational details of the Company as they relate to vendor contract documents
  • Prepare and disseminate information to appropriate employees regarding contract status, expiration, termination, performance thresholds
  • Perform administration activities to include supporting day to day tasks such as routing of forms, updating contracting templates with supplier details, and updating tracking logs with current status’ of contracting requests
