Job Description

Position:         Product Surveillance Associate

Location:        Sturtevant, WI

Status:            2 month contract

This contract is for a great organization that is a global growth-stage medical device company. The organization is privately owned, founded in 2004, and backed by top tier venture capital firms.

The right candidate for this role is someone with product surveillance experience, who can complete all major job duties with minimal supervision, interact professionally orally and in writing with internal and external stakeholders, customers, and healthcare professionals. This position is an integral part of maintaining compliance with global regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Respond to field inquiries that can be received via phone, electronic, or verbal communication; document reported complaints according to applicable SOPs.
  • Provide technical support and remote troubleshooting guidance as needed.
  • Review associated records, contact users and customers to collect information on the treatment, product performance, functionality, and more.
  • Conduct periodic follow ups to customer complaints in a timely manner
  • Complete investigations, which may include coordination of product returns, product evaluation, review of manufacturing records, and obtaining approval for case closures.
  • Track data to support statistical analysis of compliant trends.
  • Recommend and implement operational changes to improve efficiencies.
  • Evaluate complaints and determine if Medical Device Report or other Vigilance report is required; if so submit the required report according to regulatory timelines.
  • Maintain awareness of changes to global regulatory requirements related to complaint handling and adverse event reporting

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree is Required; Bachelor of Science / Bachelor of Engineering is preferred
  • Knowledge of Medical and scientific terminology
  • Professional etiquette during communications over the phone and in person
  • Ability to read and write English fluently
  • Highly organized
  • High attention to detail
  • Experience and knowledge of global regulatory requirements

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working with medical devices
  • Experience in a medical or surgical office
  • Being able to prioritize and manage complaint reports
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience working with a database of CRM system
