Job Description

Volt has partnered with an amazing winery operation located in Manteca, Ca. In this controlled warehouse environment, you will get to work with a friendly and supportive management team that promotes a safe and healthy work culture—you also get to work alongside teammates that have great work ethic and a team player mentality. 

Under close supervision, you will be responsible for performing various production line tasks in an efficient, effective, and safe manner.  You will be cross-trained in various roles— including the glass dump station, the casing station for the glass lines and hand-pack and hand-stack stations for the production lines.  In addition, miscellaneous sanitation and rework tasks for all the bottling lines will be required.

Essential Duties

  • Diligently follows safety, GMP, and ISO procedures and policies to safeguard personal and team member’s safety, wine quality and company property, i.e. lock out tag out and proper lifting procedures.
  • Places cases of glass bottles (empty or filled) onto the dump table or un-caser
  • Hand cases various bottle sizes of wine at the current line speeds throughout the shift
  • Dumps reclaim during wine changes as directed by the Team Lead or Team Supervisor
  • Hand stacks cases of wine onto pallet and keeps up with the speed of the line throughout the shift
  • Performs product rework (bottles, cases, etc.) to company specifications
  • Performs duties on the production lines under the direction of the Team Lead or Team Supervisor
  • Hand cases cartons of wine at the current line speeds throughout the shift
  • Safely transports BIB cases on pallets utilizing a pallet jack to a shrink wrapper and then to a pick-up location throughout the shift
  • Performs duties in other areas of the production line as requested by the Team Lead or Team Supervisor
  • Adheres to all quality control specifications
  • Follows the Operation Excellence culture
  • Uses downtime productively to clean-up or assist other team members
  • Performs other general tasks commensurate with skill level, as assigned by the Team Lead or Team Supervisor

SHIFT: 2nd Shift, 2:30 PM – 12 Midnight, Mon – Fri, OT on Saturdays as needed. Overtime is worked on the front end of the schedule; candidates will be scheduled to arrive at 12:00 noon (2 hours prior to the scheduled shift)

Minimum Requirements

Education and Experience: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience and familiarity with production line principles is desirable.

Performs proper lifting technique, understands and adheres to all Safety principles, i.e., (Lock out Tag out) and GMPs.

Must be able to work up to 10 hours OT as needed.
