Production Clerk II

Fremont, CA

Volt Workforce Solutions has an opening for a Production Clerk position for a large data server manufacturing client based in Fremont, CA. You will be responsible for coordinating with QC, department supervisors, and record keeping.

Day Shift: 6:35am - 7:00am start time

  • Enter/Update Data into Computer system.
  • File Maintenance and record keeping.
  • Receives NCR materials into DOA log  
  • Inspected and verifies Non–Conforming materials to NCR documentation
  • Informs ICBTO DOA coordinator when DOA materials are ready for drop off 
  • Makes the material transfer for replacements in B4 WH (ICBTO)
  • Enters quality data into shop floor system
  • Matches NCR materials to servers waiting for parts
  • Identifies and resolves any discrepancies in the DOA log with the WH DOA coordinator
  • Communicate any discrepancies or shortage/overage to the supervisor/lead.
  • Assist gate keepers with material movement as required.
  • Monitors and expedites the flow of work orders between departments
  • Insures prompt progress of goods to conform with production schedules and on-time delivery
  • Confers with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates
  • Prepare daily documentation and reports of progress
  • Participate in daily production meetings
  • Help expedite the processing of NCR and MCO
  • Serve as a link between quality, engineering, program management and manufacturing
  • Generates run cards for MFG work orders.
  • Printing labels in support of MFG. Maintains daily reports on labels.
  • Completes daily work order closing to finished goods in inventory system.
  • Verifies finished goods bins daily.
  • Conducts FGI bin audits.
  • Collaborates with MFG Expediter on crate priorities.
  • Examines items for defects, wear or damage
  • Reports information to WHS manager
  • Maintains records of damaged stock and/or material-handling equipment
  • Works directly with the expediter to ensure the customer’s shipment needs are met
  • Responsible for maintaining inventory for 19FIN/20FIN bins                           
  • Corrects any discrepancies which may arise, due to over finning, incorrect movement of parts, or related to shipments
  • Manages the fin files and finned logs which are significant in tracking finned records.
  • Coordinates with QC and expediters to push racks that need to be finned and communicates with pack out which racks have been finned and are ready to be crated
  • Any other task assigned


  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Excel experience
  • Data entry experience
  • Ability to stand for a prolonged period
  • Ability to work on ladders
  • Manual dexterity
  • Works under close supervision
  • Must be able to effectively work within a team environment
  • Communicate and can follow verbal/written directions
