I have a Tempt-to- Hire position for a Production Lead that we are looking to hire IMMEDIATELY for a Personal Care Product manufacturing company. Below is the description:

Job Description:
Job Title: Production Lead
City: Culver city- relocating to Bell, CA
State: California
Job Duration: Temp-to-hire
Full-Time/Part-Time: Full-Time / Hourly
Schedule: M-F Must be flexible to OT and possible weekends
Pay Rate: 30-38k

Basic Purpose

To lead and direct the activities of an assigned work team within a manufacturing plant/facility. Tasks are to be completed while maintaining the highest safety, product safety and quality, cost and GMP standards in a high speed manufacturing environment.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Direct the operational functions of a large production area or line through daily coordination of department activities.
  • Ensure correct and timely completion of all necessary paperwork.
  • Coordinate activities and maintain communications with Production Manager(s) / Supervisor(s).
  • Assist in task assignment for all assigned operators, while ensure operators have the necessary skills to make a contribution to the team effort
  • Train and develop new operators in the efficient operation of equipment and knowledge of quality and safety expectations.
  • Strive to run at standard equipment efficiencies or better on a daily basis.
  • Document production downtime into database. Generate downtime reports. Review all work order pre and post procurement for accuracy.
  • Ensure product(s) meet all quality standards and execute all projects as expected in a timely manner.
  • Be an active member/participant in work and process improvement teams such as COGM, safety and other areas that are pertinent to the area.
  • Responsible for reporting product safety and quality issues and initiate action, as necessary.
  • Follow all Product Safety guidelines, but not limited to: GMP's, Factory Audits, Quality, Sanitation, Safety, ISO9001
  • Additional duties and various projects as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum three years' experience in a Production Operation capacity or related role within a manufacturing environment.


  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous leadership experience.
  • Previous high speed packaging line experience preferred.
  • Ability to operate, troubleshoot and maintain production equipment
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written -- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
  • Must have good manual dexterity and mechanical skills.
  • Basic computer skills (Prism, Word, Excel, Email).
  • Ability to meet attendance guidelines and work additional hours/OT as needed.
  • Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with all contacts both inside and outside the company.
