Job Description

We have an excellent opportunity for a Production Manager. The position is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the manufacturing teams in processing (Compounding) and filling production lines (packaging of finished goods) for Personal Care Production. The manager reviews and executes the production plan with in budgeted standards and costs. The manager will be responsible for delivering established plant objectives in areas of service, cost, quality and efficiencies.  Additionally, this position focuses on continuously improving our process in key areas of manufacturing that stem across the overall plant Supply Chain (thru continuous measurement of data inputs and outputs. 


  • Participate in the development and execution of the Manufacturing Plan.
  • Supervise shift manufacturing operations to meet Quality, Service, Cost and People objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all FDA, OSHA, local and State regulatory agencies; ensure all third party audits in reference to ISO9001 auditing requirements and meet or exceed safety goals.
  • Work with production planning to minimize operation downtime and meet or exceed production plan requirements.
  • Develop employees through ongoing training programs.
  • Lead daily production operations meeting’s to review daily pack plan performance.
  • Manage production spend accounts with budgeted monthly targets.
  • Manage budgets with all Direct/In-direct Labor. 
  • Manage plant efficiencies and LOH attainment daily.
  • Ability to manage projects as assigned
  • Responsible for accurately and the timely completion of production reporting (production work order process).
  • Provide direction to supervisors in the daily operations of personal IE: leads, operators, packers and material handlers. This includes the hiring, training, development of all personnel including annual performance evaluations.

•         5-10 years related experience or equivalent in Production planning, manufacturing, packaging, manpower development and leadership.

•         Bachelor’s Degree; Engineering preferred.

•         Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills

•         Ability to manage priorities and workflow

•         Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm

•         Proficient in Microsoft/Excel

•         Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines

•         Strong interpersonal skills.

•         Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.

•         Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions

•         Creative, flexible, and innovative team player

•         Bilingual skills a plus. (Spanish)

•         Ability to understand safety requirements per OSHA requirements State/Fed.

•         Ability to perform physical labor if necessary

•         Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.

•         Must be able to have a flexible work schedule. (Currently a two shift operation)
