Job Description

VOLT is hiring a Production Manager for a manufacturer of cash processing products & equipment in Irving, TX. The Production Manager will oversee in bound supply chain, configuration, production, test and delivery of systems, upgrades and spares.  As well as, coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Project Implementation, Technical Support, Sales, Finance, Human Resources as necessary.  The primary responsibility is to ensure that Production delivers a quality product on time.


  • Schedule & coordinate the activities of personnel engaged in all phases of inbound supply chain, product assembly and testing using the relevant process instructions, test procedures & specifications.
  • Analyze, define, & develop the sequence of operations that support efficient production performance.  Implement lean manufacturing concepts including visual manufacturing, efficient material flow to support on time delivery and improve cycle time.
  • Maintain an organized environment by thoroughly practicing & enforcing 5S methods. Continuous improvement experience with a working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma principles
  • Record & produce metrics.  Analyze information to determine root cause & take corrective action as required.  Gather data for organizational monitoring & control of production labor & material costs
  • Review engineering changes & new designs for manufacturing, reliability, test results, changes to form, fit or function, rework, obsolescence and efficiency


  • Ability to read & understand complex electronic schematics, wire lists, bills of materials and drawings in order to coordinate and implement solutions to production issues in sub-assembly, test and final assembly
  • Experienced professional with a proven track record of continuous improvement  
  • At least five years’ experience in the manufacture, testing and commissioning of electro/mechanical equipment
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of experience and education preferred
