Job Description

The position serves as a back up to the Operations Manager as needed.  Oversees the tracking of all finished and raw materials in the company and supervises physical inventories as required. Works closely with the Rabbi on production of Kosher products. Responsible for contributing to the efficient, profitable operation of the plant.  Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating so as to get along with clients, customers, co-workers and supervisors, while achieving performance standards.


  • Works with production planner to ensure batches are edited correctly for the

following day’s production.

  • Checks yields, locations and scanning of packaging material into batches from

previous day’s production to ensure batches are completed accurately.

  • Works with Purchasing and Accounting to be sure that products ordered are

posted correctly into inventory.

  • Orders raw materials as necessary to complete orders.
  • Works with the Shipping Department to ensure that receiving report is correct and

that all raw materials arriving have a product number and are labeled correctly.

  • Maintains familiarity with company policies and procedures pertaining to Food
  • Security/Food Defense, Sanitation, cGMPs, HACCP/Food Safety, and employee
  • Works closely with both Production Supervisors and acts as a backup when they

are unavailable. Assists in hiring and performance reviews of production employees.

  • Performs periodic cycle counts on raw and finished products.
  • Schedules and supervises physical inventories.
  • Coordinates Rabbi Supervised production days. Prepares labels, kosher certificates, and inspection report. Faxes signed copy of production report to OU.
