Job Description

Position: Production Operators

Location: Mooresville, IN

Status: 6 month contract to hire

Shift: 5 pm to 5 am 4 on/4 off rotation

Our customer in Mooresville is seeking a contract to hire a Production Operators to facilitate the manufacture of resin.  

Responsibilities and Duties:

Operators will be responsible for staging, prepping, loading, cooking, sampling, testing, and offloading finished products. Production operators also ensure machinery, and reactors operate without error.  We are looking for experienced, energetic, and dynamic laborers who can perform in a plant working environment with varying climates seeking to progress with an industry leader to take our company to the next level in terms of quality, and environmentally safe products.

Job Duties:

  • Starts assembly and production machinery at beginning of shift.
  • Load reactors with materials in various stages.
  • Monitor and observe production lines to ensure the flow of production is not interrupted.
  • Monitor control boards that control production temperatures to meet specifications.
  • Perform sampling and testing to ensure products meets specifications.
  • Ensures the production area is clean and free of debris.
  • Responsible for moving materials from warehouse to production areas.
  • Adheres to safety guidelines dictation of the production and handling of materials in a factory.
  • Ensures that production deadlines are met.
  • Reports issues or problems to immediate Team Lead or Supervisor.
  • Completes production daily tasks as required.

Education and Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • General math.
  • Experience in factory, plant, or warehouse work environment.
  • Sit-down forklift certification or experience preferred.
  • Experience operating production or manufacturing machinery is required.
  • Must past drug and background.

Work Environment:

  • Working hours will be spent in warehouse.
  • Moderate to heavy physical activity such as walking and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Will engage in standing for long periods, frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of materials and containers.
  • Safety gear include a respirator, goggles, material and fabric gloves, protective sleeves, face mask and face shield are required.
  • Up and downs three (3) flights of stairs on shift.
