Work 12 hour days, 2 days on, 2 days off, and 3 days on 7pm-7am. Everything over 10 hours is OT; 14.13/hr and $21.20/hr OT; Daily OT pay
Temporary to Permanent Opportunity; Weekly Pay; Daily Overtime Pay Available
Shifts available: 7pm-7am (pay shift differential)
This role is an operator performing multiple fabrication functions in the cleanroom.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Involves handling of chemicals, microscope inspections, running precision equipment, and processing GaAs wafers to comply with specifications and other requirements
- Accuracy in process documentation and data entry required
- Assist in general cleanroom housekeeping responsibilities
- In senior and highly skilled levels, employee may perform equipment set-up and calibration as well as perform routine preventative maintenance skills
- Inspect wafers to ensure unit is defect free and meets all documented workmanship specifications
- Collect data as specified by process instructions and monitor process to ensure no occurrence of out of control situation
- Work with engineering team to assist with complex engineering builds
Essential Functions:
- Shift consists of the following:
- Compressed work week at 12 hours each day
- Alternating work weeks working 3 days one week and 4 days the next
- Minimum of suiting up is 4 times daily; with 4 times suiting down
- Suiting up/down requires sitting with bending and twisting
- Requires constant standing and/or sitting for ~10 hours
- Sitting would involve utilizing a microscope for inspection
- Constant lifting requirements of about 7 pounds per run box/cassette; also requires stretching at the Sigma stations and lifting above the shoulders to put cassettes in the oven
- Requires frequent lifting and pouring of 10 pound bottles
- Requires securely grasping and moving wafer boxes weighing approximately 7 pounds each for up to 5 minutes at a time
- Routine squatting involved in taking runs off of the staging shelves
- Shelves are at different heights for staging which requires continuous squatting and/or bending when pulling WIP for the tools
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education requirement: High School diploma or GED required
- Experience level: Minimum of 2 years’ cleanroom experience or manufacturing environment; following protocols
- Excellent team skills, work ethic in terms of attendance and organization
- Ability to sustain high quality of work in a fast-paced cleanroom environment
- Good hand dexterity, i.e., ability to hand solder and ability to manually handle bare die
- Ability to learn quickly and follow written and verbal instructions
- Good communication skills
- Must be flexible and able to adjust to changing goals and policies
