$65,000 to $75,000

(If you have Food Production Supervisor Skills up to $80,000)

We are currently looking for a Production Shift Manager. This person is responsible for overseeing and planning the production of Food Products while maintaining safety, quality and securing cost associated within the lines of production.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain continuous improvement in all production processes to improve labor cost, yield, supply utilization, employee safety, food safety and product quality..
  • Ensures the hiring, training, development and management of the production leads to ensure that all personnel are familiar with operating processed and procedures and are meeting or exceeding HACCP and SQF requirements.
  • Coordinate staffing and schedules for each line within all the departments. Including attendance monitoring systems.
  • Assist's in safety risk identification and takes appropriate actions to minimize risk. Responsible for holding their subordinates accountable for the proper execution of their safety responsibilities.
  • Coordinate activities with the Plant Maintenance Leadership team.
  • Responsible for maintaining SOP's across all areas of production.
  • Promotes, adheres, and is responsible for Food Safety and Quality.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Food Service, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 5-7 years' experience in a manufacturing environment and /or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 years' Supervisor experience.
  • Experience in a Union-Environment preferred but not required.

Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervises the production team on a designated shift.
  • Carries out Supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing and training hourly employees; planning, assigning, and directing work to production supervisors; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving issues.
