Job Description

We are hiring for a Production Supervisor! The ideal candidate has experience in the aerospace/manufacturing industry overseeing the production/manufacturing/machining department functions as well as has prior experience managing and training employees. Lean Manufacturing experience is a huge plus!

  • Provide day to day supervision of assigned manufacturing/production/machining department functions and employees, to include, interviewing, managing, training and development, evaluating performance and providing employee discipline as necessary. Assign duties, responsibilities, and projects and prepare work schedules.
  • Maintain quality by establishing and enforcing organization standards. Ensure effective and quality machine shop operations, including establishing or providing necessary adjustments to achieve daily production requirements and goals. Evaluate the effectiveness of machinery, equipment and shop procedures. Recommend and implement changes to improve operational efficiency and/or quality standards.
  • Monitor and review production machinery to detect problems. Ensure deliverables are on time, within budget and meet the quality levels expected by internal and external customers. Determine priority and sequence of operations in assigned area.
  • Provide and report out manufacturing information by initiating, compiling, sorting and analyzing production performance records and date; answer questions and respond to requests.
  • Establish and maintain Lean Manufacturing processes. Analyze and resolve operation work problems or assist others in resolving issues. Ensure work in progress is completed in conformance to specifications.
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment; train and direct employees on the control points, equipment and resources; maintain compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to ensure quality performance related to quality system, cost and delivery requirements.


2 year college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.


2 – 4 years supervisory experience preferably in the manufacturing/aerospace industry.
