Volt is seeking a Production Supervisor to work onsite at John Deere’s facility in Valley City, ND.  This is a contingent position forecasted for two or more years.

Within this role, you will:

  • Supervise unskilled production, maintenance or warehouse employees
  • Supervise the execution of departmental plans to achieve objectives in safety, quality, schedule, efficiency and continuous improvement
  • Administer employee policies, practices, procedures and work rules appropriate for the unit
  • Monitor individual performance and take corrective action including discipline, as needed, and responds to complaints to insure the Company and employees adheres to policies, practices, procedures and work rules
  • Ensure that assigned personnel have appropriate training, work instruction and tools to successfully do their job
  • Work with the Safety Team in meeting company standards and enforces safety regulations to prevent and eliminate injuries
  • Resolve various systems, parts, people or process issues to correct deficiencies, reduce costs, improve processes/performance
  • Manage and control costs to stay within the department operating budget targets
  • Coordinate departmental continuous improvement plans and activities

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3 or more years of experience supervising shop floor manufacturing and/or warehouse operations
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Comfortable giving work direction to a diverse group of people
  • Ability to work flexible hours (to include overtime and/or weekends, as needed)
  • Strong communication skills

Safety shoes with internal metatarsal protection will be required.
