Job Description

Job Title: Pharmacy Clerk 
Location: Sacramento, CA
Position Summary
• Packing prescription with prescription paperwork, and labeling package
• Folding of prescription paperwork
• Reading of application screen and pop-up windows
• Sorts prescriptions according to shipping label into assigned totes
• Uses scanning handheld to sort packaged prescriptions into bin location
• Performs audits for closed bins: Verifies physical count vs. computer generated tote count
• Performs chain of custody audit: Records total bins created by location for a production day
• Basic computer skills for creating shipping labels
• Duplicating and recording a series of numbers on shipping labels to physical receipt
• Unloads receiving orders from delivery trucks
o Audits delivery to delivery receipt
• Restocks work stations with daily supply needs
• Basic cleaning responsibility: Taking out trash, wiping down surfaces, sweeping, etc.
• Escalating/reporting any abnormalities to management
• Understands and abides by federal and state HIPAA laws as well as pharmacy standard procedures to ensure patient safety and privacy
 Occasionally the following physical abilities will be needed:
o Occasionally lift 10 to 20 lbs.
o Occasionally carry 10 to 20 lbs.
o Stooping, kneeling, crouching
o Reaching overhead and wrist level
Frequently the following physical abilities will be needed
o Utilizing ladders to retrieve supplies and products
o Using firm grasps
Continuously the following physical abilities will be needed
o Standing and walking
o Reading and hearing
o Reaching at table level
o Using simple grasps
Work Schedule:
Sunday (8am to 4:30p), and Monday through Thursday (2pm to 10:30p)
