Job Description

Volt is partnering with a highly respected contract manufacturing company to hire a full-time, direct hire Maintenance Lead.  This company specializes in precision machining of custom metal and plastic parts for some of the world's largest aerospace, electronics, and healthcare companies.

You will be working closely with our General Manager, Production Manager, and Senior Machinists to support production of manufactured parts.

The Maintenance Lead's primary responsibility is to keep the 17+ high-end CNC machines operating consistently and efficiently.

Specific Duties include:

1.) Periodic and Scheduled Preventive Maintenance- scheduling machines for periodic manufacturer service calls, completing various periodic maintenance tasks (e.g., changing backup batteries on machine controls yearly, lubricating key components as per schedule, etc.), and keeping records of maintenance completion.

2.) Repairs and emergency maintenance- Scheduling emergency machine repairs and service, making repairs onsite as possible, ordering spare parts and tools.

3.) General Cleaning - Clearing chips and vacuuming sumps. Maintaining coolant integrity, cleaning machines and work areas.

4.) Production Support - Assist in production areas (machine operation, parts detailing and/or parts assembly) when caught up with maintenance tasks.

Note that in your role, you will be required to carefully and consistently follow sometimes complex written procedures.  Ability to be flexible with your schedule is necessary based on machine availability.
