Position: Program Mgr Tech 2 
Type: Contingent
Duration: Thru 6/30 (Ext likely) 
Location: Redmond, WA


There are three projects that this role will initially be responsible for.

Our client is about to launch a new web service for Office 365 enterprise customers to receive IP Address and URL information that identifies Office 365. This will be a REST based web service that returns JSON or CSV format data that customers will access with various scripting languages. Previously customers have accessed this data as XML, HTML, and RSS format data. There is a public forum where they can ask questions and we have public documentation for teaching how to user the new web services.

The team is running a program that has several dozen sub projects and requires a monthly report. The report has a standard format each month. The owner for each project must be followed up with and a status included in the report. This program is managed in Visual Studio Online.

Top Must-Have Hard Skills/Experience:

  • Scripting language experience
  • Written communications skills
  • Ability to see how to create process and automate manual requests


  • 1 year experience in a scripting language
  • 1 year online community management experience or partner management experience or technical writing experience.
  • Technical understanding of Cloud, Web Technologies and preferable to have some software development experience.
  • Experience with PowerShell, Python, and other scripting languages.
  • Program / project management experience. Excellent written communication skills including report and/or technical article writing experience. A weekly emailed report of completed requests, backlog for next week, and issues is required. 
  • Implementing Automation solutions as part of continual service improvement systems. Ability to see how to create process and automate manual requests.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects, able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical and Reporting skills. Expert with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Power BI. Understands Pivot Tables, Slicers, Reporting, SharePoint, Visio, PowerPoint.
  • College degree or equivalent industry experience.


  • Customer feedback management, forum responses answering questions, and regular customer feedback reports for IP/URL web services beta and release
  • Writing introductory articles and example customer scripts on how to use the IP/URL web services. Work will be required in several scripting languages
  • Supporting multiple partners onboarding to IP/URL web services and technical enablement of network service vendor partner program including walking partners through requirements for onboarding
  • Receiving requests for system log reports, running the reports, filtering data and producing insights and completed document.
  • Writing process for managing system log report requests and automating elements of the process.
  • Creating a monthly report across a Visual Studio Online program. Contacting each of the sub-project owners for a status update. Updating Visual Studio Online with details and compiling a report update.
