Job Description

Our client  is an aerospace leader specializing in landing gear and hydraulic component overhaul supporting several airline, military and OEM platforms. Currently we are seeking an experienced, detail oriented, and high energy individual to oversee the day to day management of current and future programs. The selected applicant will be responsible for scheduling and status reporting, and development of strategies to meet both quality and turn time expectations of customers and troubleshoot production challenges related to and in support of the repair and overhaul activities for the repair station.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manages multiple projects concurrently including scheduling all activities in project management program, schedule production time, monitor all tasks, and lead kickoff and status meetings.
  • Manage quoting activities assigned by business development, existing customers/products, pull technical teams together, create and manage cost models, source/quote materials, lead assessment meetings.
  • Develop plans, budgets, and timelines for completion of products.
  • Selects resources for products and plans
  • Analyzing program risks
  • Communicates progress and statuses to management as well as the customer.
  • Works with sales and customers to establish, manage and control project scopes and deliverables.
  • Create, maintain and communicate project budgets, spending and financial status indicators
  • Ensures accurate documents/specifications are maintained for repair and overhaul processes and documents are transferred to vendors and relevant internal groups.
  • Develops an understanding of existing landscape surrounding area of expertise.

Specific Job Skills

  • Minimum 5-7 years of program management experience preferred
  • Experience with presenting, communicating, and leading groups of teams
  • Prior participation in a AS9100/Nadcap certified organization
  • Must have experience with conflict management
  • Detail oriented with excellent time management skills
  • Requires previous employment experience for the services sought, including practical experience with the procedures, practices, inspection methods, materials, tools and equipment generally used for maintenance activities performed by the repair station
