Direct Hire Opportunity-Program Manager-Sonoma County, CA.

Program Manager

In the role as a Program Manager you will provide internal direction, leadership and accountability for key project management efforts among and across all departmental lines.

The program manager will be responsible for managing the development of simple project(s) during the entire program life cycle under the supervision of the Program Management Office (PMO)

The program manager has the expertise, and authority to organize and coordinate all elements of the project, establishing support of engineering, manufacturing, and QA personnel as needed to maintain the project on schedule and within budget.

Project Management:

Take ownership where the customer requires a single point of contact.

Develop the overall plan / schedule based on strategies and objectives defined by the PMO.

Work with engineering, operations, QA, and sales to maintain the status of all deliveries, and manage resource allocation to best match our capabilities with the customers’ expectations.

Identify and work cross-functional issues where needed.

Maintain the profitability and schedule conformance in line with customers’ expectations and financial guidelines from upper management.

Highlight areas needing improvement, and monitor the outcomes.

Provide to the PMO and project team with weekly updates, at a minimum, of status vs. plan and vs. changes in customer status and expectations, including functional design, costs, scope, pricing, content, changes, delivery, documentation, and supplier performances.

Ensure company policies and documentation required throughout the entire project life cycles have been following by the entire project stakeholders.

Process management:

The Program manager should use tools, processes, and procedures developed by the PMO to track the project vs. plan, including delivery, quality, cost, schedule, and resource levels

The program manager identifies and corrects systemic flaws and unacceptable performance

Contract Review:

Review contractual requirements and identify areas needing special treatment to achieve them.

Flag changes in internal processes to highlight the commitment and resources needed to sustain the customers’ satisfaction.

Suggest changes where mutually beneficial to the customer and us.

Establish a clear understanding of the Statement of Work throughout both the customers’ organization and our internal organization.

Flag changes in the Statement of Work requiring contractual modifications.
Contract Negotiations (With Outside and Inside Sales)

Develop the position from which we wish to negotiate.

Clearly explain the desired outcome, and profitability impact of proposed terms and conditions.

Set the boundaries and parameters for successful negotiations.

Work with outside and inside sales to support negotiations.


Bachelor’s degree in engineering. And 3+ years of experience in team management, sales and/or engineering.

PMP certified preferred
