Program Manager (Electronics Contract Manufacturing)

This manufacturing company located in Totem Lake, WA which is a privately held company founded in 1984 and provides end to end electronic manufacturing services including Design, Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA), complete Box Builds, final System Integration and Test is seeking a Program Manager for a full-time, direct opportunity. Creating value across a diversified customer base in market segments such as HealthTech, Medical, Industrial, Defense & Aerospace, Automotive and Consumer amongst others. The Program Manager, providing a single point of customer contact, is responsible for outstanding customer service through the management, performance and completion of major account programs.

They will manage and direct, with full authority, all phases of a program from inception to completion. They coordinate proposal preparation and establish and monitor master plans and schedules. This position develops and maintains key customer contacts and relationships. They supervise the Program Management staff and direct the integration of a Customer Focus Team (CFT), including functional positions such as purchasing, planning, engineering, quality assurance, manufacturing and document control. The PM reviews CFT metrics and develops improvement plans in areas including but not limited to customer service, financial performance, customer cost, quality, delivery and continually seeking value added business opportunities. ITAR clearance required. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Responsible for managing all aspects of account program management, which operates in a Customer Focus Team (CFT) matrix management capacity with the following functional areas: production, planning, materials management, quality, engineering and new business. Directly supervise, mentor and develop Associate Program Manager and CFT Administrator for continual improvement. Effectively develop a cohesive program management team, who are able to operate on both a strategic and tactical basis, while being engaged and accountable. Main point of contact responsible for building and sustaining strong collaborative customer relationships in the industry, supporting business strategies and program growth objectives. Maintain strong customer relations by initiating and participating in customer networking and appreciation events. Establish and maintain relationships with key executives who are currently or are soon to be customers of the company.

Represents the company at business and networking opportunities relating to company associations. Assign priorities to multiple competing activities quickly and effectively, balancing short and long-term needs. Responsible for monitoring and analyzing cost, revenue and profitability performance of programs, providing revenue forecasts and ensuring products are completed on time, within budget and profitability; provide pricing rationale and recommendations supporting quotations and proposals for new business opportunities. Review and approve program expenditures within authority matrix. Conduct review of financial results and variances with management team and ensure ROI. Prepare monthly program financial and operational reports for management review, leading the management presentations and Customer Business Reviews. Responsible for ensuring that program operational metrics are in place and are effectively managed. Monitor key operational performance metrics such as on-time delivery, quality, responsiveness, price for value, and use of technology. Review company performance to standards on a regular basis reacting to metrics by identifying root cause and solutions. Apply knowledge of global contract manufacturing industry to anticipate both customer needs and adapting to a changing global landscape. Identify, grow and maintain additional business opportunities with existing customers. Manage and execute new development programs in accordance with budget, schedule and technical objectives; leverage relationship with existing customers to identify new business opportunities. Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate is preferred to have a Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required skill, knowledge and abilities. Minimum of four (4) years of progressive business management and/or manufacturing operations experience, Minimum two (2) years in a Program Management role.

Experience managing projects from concept through production; material control/scheduling, and cost accounting/budgeting. Minimum two (2) years of progressive supervisory experience leading direct reports and non-direct teams leading, demonstrating strong leadership through training and coaching. Experience with an Enterprise Resource Programs such as Fourth Shift or similar systems. Excellent management, communication and people skills required to influence and manage multiple resources, most of which are not under direct authority. Skilled in conflict resolution and negotiation.

Must have excellent judgment, technical, analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to identify complex problems and see them through to resolution. Able to work independently with minimal supervision. Executive level presence with exceptional business acumen, possessing overall leadership qualities and abilities. Team oriented, with demonstrated ability to work with others to drive to targeted outcomes. Must be flexible and able to deal with multiple, changing priorities

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, contracts, terms and conditions, technical procedures, and/or regulations furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Demonstrated ability working with complex reports and MRP database systems. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. General understanding of financial concepts (i.e., budgeting and analysis) as well as planning, scheduling and forecasting knowledge/ Applied knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Project etc). Strong customer service focus
