Job Description

Volt has an opening for a Project Control Analyst to create technical documentation including complex process documents, policy and procedure documents and knowledge base articles and review existing documentation and updates as necessary with one of our major Client’s in Plano, TX.


  • Establishment and maintenance of cost/schedule baselines
  • Development of WBS and related dictionaries, schedules or Resource Loaded Networks (RLN's) and budgets
  • Implementation of Earned Value methodologies
  • Performs related variance analyses; and preparation of written and verbal reports to management regarding cost and schedule variances.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related discipline
  • 8+ years related experience
  • Verbal and written communication with Project Managers, Delivery Managers, Senior Technical Personnel, as well as Customer Management Team and End Users.
  • Leadership and participation with project resources
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project administration
  • Project Management techniques including Work Breakdown Structure, Critical Path Analysis, Estimate at Completion and Earned Value Analysis
  • Proficient with MS-Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio)
  • MS-Excel functions, formulas and pivot tables
  • Proficient with MS-Project
  • Process Mapping and Process Improvement

Desired skills

  • One or more certifications in
    • Project Management (PMP, Prince II, etc)
    • Agile Scrum (CAPM, CSM, etc.)
    • Process Improvement (6 Sigma, Lean 6 Sigma, BPML)
    • ITSM (ITIL v3 Foundations, ITIL v4, etc.)
