Volt is seeking a Program Manager for our leading provider of information and workflow solutions to the Property & Casualty Claims Industry client.

The Project Manager position will report directly to the Vice President of Enterprise Business Technology. This job manages specific projects related to the Ceridian, Salesforce, NetSuite, and billing solutions that have a distinct beginning and end. Requires people and resource management through others; part of cross-functional team required to complete the project. Organizes the interdepartmental activities (i.e. meetings, scheduling, communications, etc) ensuring achievement of project goals and completion of the project on schedule and within budget.  This is a temporary position lasting 8-9 months.

Responsible for the development of project plans, capturing and communication of goals, strategy, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans and allotment of resources (along with Resource Managers) for each phase of a project. Responsible for administration, tracking and reporting of project summary schedules.

  • Works with functional departments to identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks.
  • Coordinate assignment of project personnel.
  • Mange and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
  • Enthusiasm for helping a team set and achieve challenging goals.
  • Coordinate and respond to requests for changes from original specifications.
  • Demonstrate accountability for the results of the team.
  • Prepare project status reports and keep management, clients, and others informed of project status and related issues.
  • Analyze and escalate potential project problems.
  • Conduct and publish lessons learned.
  • Scheduling meetings and capturing and following up on all action items.

Experience and Educational Requirements:

  • A degree or equivalent experience
  • Project Management coursework (preferred)
  • Hands on and/or Project Management experience with business systems - Ceridian, NetSuite, Salesforce preferred

  • Strong leadership, planning, organizational, troubleshooting, & customer service skills
  • Team orientated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • High level of sensitivity and effectiveness in dealing with executive management, line managers and other team members.
  • Proficient use of project related software applications (i.e. MS Office, MS Project, SharePoint, Excel, etc.)
