Project Manager 4 (Lead)

This is an estimated 12 month temporary position, in Renton, WA and is offered through Volt Workforce Solutions. We are among the largest staffing companies in the US for contingent/temporary and direct hire placements, and support many of the top rated Pacific Northwest companies.

The Senior Project Manager is accountable for one or more large, diverse and complex projects in the areas of information technology, quality improvement, strategic objectives and goals. The Senior Project Manager ensures projects are planned and executed with mission focus, integration and collaboration across our systems. This role requires expert level communication, organization and critical thinking skills. The candidate must have previous knowledge and experience with leading enterprise-wide IT infrastructure projects. Experience with effectively leading multiple workstreams and successful project teams is required. A self-starter, with ability to track and manage multiple tasks and competing priorities, is required. The applicant must be well organized, with solid experience providing executive level presentations and status reporting.

Experience:

  • Ten or more years of experience leading large, diverse and often complex projects is required.
  • Expertise and experience with Project Management methodology based on project management principles required.
  • Experience in incorporating process improvement methodologies into large scale projects.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Six Sigma, Lean, is strongly¬†preferred.
  • Experience facilitating complex decisions making among multiple executive stakeholders with different interests and priorities is essential.

Skills:

  • Skilled in strategic planning, program management, group motivation, discipline and diplomacy.
  • Superb written and oral communication skills on interpersonal and technical levels.
  • Experienced in vendor/contract management and negotiations.
  • Advanced leadership skills, with the ability to successfully serve as a coach and mentor to colleagues and others.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in assessing and mitigating risks through risk planning.
  • Success managing other project managers, project portfolios and/or multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in business development and/or strategic and tactical planning and execution including marketing, communications and financial planning.
  • Experience as a speaker in a professional presentation environment, such as conferences and association meetings.
  • Experience developing and implementing benchmarks and metrics in support of improved quality and process design.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects with multiple project teams, product development lifecycle, or quality lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated ability to inform and influence senior leadership, management and individuals in various parts of the organization to work toward successful outcomes.
  • Ability to analyze and report on foreseeable future implications of current decisions.
