Senior Project Manager, Microsoft Stack

This is an estimated 12 month temporary position, in Renton, WA and is offered through Volt Workforce Solutions. We are among the largest staffing companies in the US for contingent/temporary and direct hire placements, and support many of the top rated Pacific Northwest companies.

The Principal Project Manager is accountable for one or more large, diverse and complex projects in the areas of information technology, quality improvement, strategic objectives and goals. The Principal Project Manager ensures projects are planned and executed in a manner that supports the company mission, integration and collaboration across the system, and meets the organizational objectives. 

EXPERIENCE:

  • Ten or more years of experience leading large, diverse and often complex projects is required.
  • Project Management methodology based on project management principles required.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience working within the Microsoft stack;  .NET, C#, or ASP.NET, SQL
  • Experience in incorporating process improvement methodologies into large scale projects.
  • Methodology certification in process optimization such as Six Sigma, Lean, CQIA or other preferred.
  • Experience facilitating complex decisions making among multiple executive stakeholders with different interests and priorities is essential.

SKILLS:

  • Skilled in strategic planning, program management, group motivation, discipline and diplomacy.
  • Superb written and oral communication skills on interpersonal and technical levels.
  • Experienced in vendor/contract management and negotiations.
  • Advanced leadership skills, with the ability to successfully serve as a coach and mentor to colleagues.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in assessing and mitigating risks through risk planning.
  • Demonstrated experience in business development and/or strategic and tactical planning and execution including marketing, communications and financial planning.
  • Demonstrated experience as a speaker in a professional presentation environment, such as conferences and association meetings.
  • Experience developing and implementing benchmarks and metrics in support of improved quality and process design.
  • Excellent written and oral communication that is excellent in the areas of timeliness, accuracy, professionalism.
  • Demonstrated ability to inform and influence senior leadership, management and individuals in various parts of the organization to work toward successful outcomes.
