We are looking to hire a Project Manager – Program Quality with our Client in the Aerospace industry in Oakville, ON for a 1 year contract with the possibility of extension

In this position you will be reporting to the Quality Manager – Commercial Programs. As the Project Manager – Program Quality, you will be responsible for all aspects of planning and execution of Manufacturing Process Review and APQP activities on Landing Gear product. This role is accountable for the on-time delivery of project outputs to support internal Client requirements and commitments to external customers. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Develop, execute and manage MPR/PFMEA project from cradle to grave including schedule development, resource coordination and securing on-time deliverables in support of project deadlines 
• Facilitate project team events and meetings to ensure project milestones and commitments are met. 
• Control and manage project execution to mitigate project risks. 
• Coordinate, train and support cross-functional team 
• Assess and compile technical documentation in support of Manufacturing Process Review activity 
• Drive implementation of actions produced out of MPR/PFMEA activity in support of defined schedule 
• Prepare and present regular project status updates to Landing Systems senior leaders and stakeholders 
• Execute project events in accordance with ACE requirements 
• Compile lessons learned/project debrief for delivery to leadership upon conclusion of project 
• Project activity may occur in multiple Landing Systems sites – up to 25% international travel may be required 

Basic Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in Engineering or Technical discipline is preferred 
• Excellent Project Management skills, Project Management Professional designation preferred 
• Minimum 5 years of related aerospace, automotive or medical device experience. 
• Has implemented, maintained and/or improved APQP or PPAP processes 
• Good understanding of design and machining / manufacturing methods 
• Demonstrated ability to create and execute project plans to achieve specific goals within tight timelines. 
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to lead teams with minimal supervision 
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office software programs 
• High degree of professionalism and confidentiality with the ability to influence and engage others to overcome resistance to change. 

• Project activity may occur in multiple Landing Systems sites – up to 25% international travel may be required 

• Successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CGD.
