Project Manager Tech 3, Planning Support Analyst

This is an estimated 3 months PLUS temporary position in Redmond, WA and is offered through Volt Workforce Solutions. We are among the largest staffing companies in the US for contingent/temporary and direct hire placements, and support many of the top rated Pacific Northwest companies.

We are looking for individuals with supply chain expertise to join its dynamic infrastructure capacity planning team.  The candidate must be proficient in data mining have a proven track record of data driven analysis and root cause solutioning. The candidate will create metrics that show accurate trends, develop analysis reports in Excel, create queries in SQL and develop visualizations in Power BI. We are looking for a combination of both strong analytical thinking as well as project management experience. Additionally, daily operations requires strong attention to detail to perform routine processing scripts and manage a high volume of change execution.


  • Identify feasibility of a capacity plan and trigger execution with operations team – including elements like space, power, networking and SKU availability
  • Interface with supply chain, Data Center space management, hardware supply management, deployment PM’s, SKU team, networking to manage and reconcile all issues related to projects
  • Drive root cause and corrective actions to close out process, training or tools arising from the escalations
  • Generate and manage metrics and reporting related to planning accuracy and jitter, supply changes and supply-demand gaps
  • Generate and publish forecasts for downstream teams

Must Haves:

  • Experience in supply chain planning or transaction management, preferably with infrastructure
  • Understanding and application of key inventory management concepts (Supply Commit, Clear to Build, Open to Buy, WOS, turns)
  • Exceptional Excel skills managing large amounts of data
  • Ability to leverage SQL databases and PowerBI to create and manage meaningful dashboards
